FORT SMITH, Ark. (May 28, 2014) – Baldor Electric Company announced the promotion of Galen Burdeshaw to power transmission components engineering manager. In this role, Burdeshaw will be responsible for all Dodge- and Maska-branded, power transmission product-related engineering and will directly manage the product development team in Greenville, South Carolina.

Burdeshaw is currently the customer order engineering manager for bearings and PT components. He began his career with Baldor in 1995 as a customer order engineer for antifriction bearings. He continued to work in various roles within product engineering related to both bearings and PT components. Through the years, Burdeshaw has published more than 45 technical articles related to Dodge products and has chaired the coupling division of the Mechanical Power Transmission Association (MPTA). Burdeshaw earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Alabama and a Master of Business Administration from Clemson University. Burdeshaw is a certified Lean Master.
