DUBAI (November 2014)—Boosted by a positive upward trend for sales of screw pumps in the Middle East area, Leistritz Pumpen GmbH, a German manufacturer of screw pumps, has opened its office in the UAE, located in the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF-Zone). The Middle East area has made a significant contribution to Leistritz Pumps’ growth in the past years and will play a major and strategic role for the next years’ market development.

“The opening of Leistritz Middle East is the first step into a new area for Leistritz,” said Thomas Talarczyk, director of sales Middle East at Leistritz Pumpen GmbH. “In the near future we will see more progress in market approach and customer service. The constant local support, which will cover the whole GCC Region including Iraq and Iran (as soon the sanctions will allow us the support), is the basis of our new ‘short way of communication’ in consulting, solution finding and support. Within the next year we will increase our staff at Leistritz Middle East (LME) to provide further application capacity as well as services for e.g. commissioning and repair to our customer base in the region.”

For more than 90 years, Leistritz Pumpen GmbH with its headquarters in Nuremberg/Germany has been developing, manufacturing and selling screw pumps for various branches, including oil & gas, petrochemical and chemical industry, power systems, and shipbuilding. Leistritz customers benefit from the vast technical know-how and a strict quality management. The company employs about 290 people and keeps a subsidiary in the U.S., a sales office in Italy as well as service centers in Europe, Asia, the U.S. and Africa.
