Birmingham, Ala. (April 22, 2015)  Pumps & Systems, the leading magazine for pump users worldwide, is happy to announce “Diagnose & Solve Cavitation & Air Entrainment,” a webinar presented in partnership with the Submersible Wastewater Pump Association (SWPA), the educational leader and authoritative source for the submersible wastewater pump industry for more than three decades.

The webinar focuses on two common problems encountered with centrifugal pumps: cavitation and air entrainment. Though usually unrelated, both can cause big operational problems that lead to frequent failures and costly maintenance.

The live webinar will take place May 28, 2015, at 1 p.m. Eastern. Register for free at pumpsandsystems.com/webinars.

The event, which offers CEU credits, will provide participants with a more advanced level of training than previous SWPA webinars. Attendees will learn how to recognize cavitation and air entrainment, the effects of these problems, how to test for them and how to repair systems that have them.

The one-hour event will include a 45-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute live question-and-answer segment.

Presenters Chris Caldwell, director of advanced collections technology at Sulzer, and Barry Jongsma, manager of project engineering at Penatir, will make the presentation. Both are members of SWPA.
