PUNE, India (12 May 2015)—Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), a global fluid management company has won another order from Calik Enerji of Turkey for supply of pumps for its 230MW CCPP project in Georgia.

Calik Enerji is a Turkish energy company of Calik Holding, with business interests in oil and gas exploration and production, transportation, and distribution; power generation, transmission and distribution; power plant design and engineering; and telecommunications services.

KBL reciprocated the repeat order by Calik Enerji by not only shipping all pumps to site as per schedule, but also provided supervision at site and completed installation of all pumps.

Commenting on the development, Ravindra Prabhakar Ulangwar, vice president and head of Power & Irrigation for KBL, said, “We are glad to have exceeded customer expectations with repeat orders. Calik Enerji has become our key customer, as this is our second successful project. We are sure this new footprint in the global power market will be very useful reference in our endeavor to spread our presence in the international markets and we relish enduring the journey.”

KBL had received first order from Calik Enerji in 2010-11 for supply of 24 units of various horizontal split case and vertical turbine pumps for the 480MW NAVOI CCPP project in Uzbekistan. Apart from delivering all pumps at the site as per contract schedule, KBL also provided supervision support at site during installation and commissioning of pumps. All pumps were successfully commissioned, and systems were handed over to Calik Enerji by May 2012.
