(April 18, 2016) -- Val-Matic Valve & Manufacturing Corp. announced that John V. Ballun, executive vice president and chief operating officer will succeed Ted J. Makowan as president and CEO.
Ballun joined Val-Matic in 1995 as vice president of engineering and previously worked in various engineering management roles at other valve manufacturing companies. Over the course of his career, he has published numerous articles on valve technology and contributed to several standard development organizations including the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the Manufacturing Standardization Society (MSS).
John V. BallunBallun earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University. He brings a wealth of industry experience to the position.
Patricia Nuter will continue to serve as the chairman of the board, executive chairman and treasurer of Val-Matic.

Val-Matic Valve and Manufacturing Corporation’s headquarters is located in Elmhurst, Illinois, with additional manufacturing facilities in Addison, Illinois, for a total of more than 177,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space.
