STOCKHOLM, Sweden (April 4, 2017) -- Atlas Copco is set to acquire Pressure Compressores Ltds., a Brazilian manufacturer of piston coompressors and related equipment.

Atlas Copco did not disclose the purchase price. According to a release, Pressure Compressores will fold into the Professional Air division in the Compressor Technique business area once the acquisition closes during the second quarter of 2017.

Pressure Compressores is based in Maringá in the state of Parana, Brazil, and serves Brazil and other South American countries.. The company offers a broad range of piston compressors, screw compressors and air treatment products used by a wide range of industrial and professional customers. . It has about 150 employees and had revenues in 2016 of about MBRL 50 ($16.5 million USB).
