DAVIDSON, N.C. (June 28, 2017) — ARO announced that Oakley Roberts, vice president and general manager for ARO, an Ingersoll Rand brand, has been appointed a director of the Hydraulic Institute Board of Directors and Officers for a three-year term.

The Hydraulic Institute is the largest association of pump industry manufacturers and the leading voice for the pump industry in North America. The Hydraulic Institute board of directors is responsible for advancing the association’s mission to become the global resource for pumping solutions.

“I look forward to working alongside my fellow leaders at the Hydraulic Institute during my board term,” Roberts said. “Our leadership team is committed to enhancing the knowledge base available to the pump industry and educating pump users so that we can continue to make a positive impact on the marketplace.”

With nearly 20 years of experience in the fluid management space, Roberts has demonstrated his leadership with roles in product management, sales, marketing and engineering. At ARO, where Roberts joined in 2000, he leads the business to drive real-time business results while working through mid- and long-term strategies. In this role, Roberts also manages the strategic business unit’s network of more than 800 distribution partners, original equipment manufacturers and direct strategic accounts serving chemical, process, wastewater, automotive, oil and gas, mining, marine and general industrial segments.

“Oakley is an accomplished leader who has demonstrated his dedication to the pump industry,” said Michael Michaud, executive director of the Hydraulic Institute. “We are confident he will add great value to our board and the Hydraulic Institute will benefit greatly from his perspective and insights.”
