STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Atlas Copco has completed a partial acquisition of Mobilaris MCE AB, a Swedish company that provides advanced software for underground mining operations.

Atlas Copco first announced its plans in June to acquire 34 percent of Mobilaris. The companies have not disclosed a purchase price, and Mobilaris will continue to operate as a separate company.

Mobilaris is based in Luleå, Sweden, and produces software solutions that offer "situational awareness of mines", according to an Atlas Copco release. The software uses 3D technology to provide real-time positioning and detailed status information.

Mobilaris employs 20 people and posted revenues of $3.5 million in 2016.
