Other domestic and foreign offices and production plants were established in subsequent years. In 1945, Feodor Burgmann Jr. established business in Seeleiten on Lake Starnberg in Bavaria. The company headquarters relocated to Wolfratshausen in 1951. In 1962, the company began to develop and manufacture mechanical seals, and expansion joints were added to the product portfolio in 1965. The U.S. company later opted out of the joint venture. Subsidiaries were set up in Asia and Australia. Founding of Eagle Machine Works Co. Ltd. for the production of mechanical seals in in Niigata/Japan happened in 1989. Comprised of eight companies, Eagle Techno East Japan Co. Ltd. was formed in 1993, with the objective of optimizing customer service.
