CHICAGO (April 16, 2013) – On April 16, I was in Chicago for Grundfos’ groundbreaking ceremony for its new North American headquarters in Downers Grove, Ill. During my visit, I had the opportunity to interview Grundfos executives Soren Sorensen, Grundfos Group Executive Vice President and Chairman of the Grundfos North American Board, and Jes Munk Hansen, President of Grundfos North America. I spoke with them about upgrading the infrastructure, new technologies that can reduce waste and energy consumption, and the state of the pump industry.

Part One of my interview covered the essential role that pumps play in society and our daily lives. If you missed it, read it here.

In Part Two, they examine the state of the pump industry, globally and in the U.S., and the plans for future infrastructure upgrades. See it here.

In Part Three, they discuss the current energy efficiency standards in the U.S. and how the pump industry came together to pass pump efficiency legislation in Europe. Watch Part Three of my five-part interview with Sorensen and Hansen below.  Watch for Parts 4 & 5 of my interview in my upcoming blogs.
