(Oct. 14, 2013) – Metso has won a large order for intelligent valve controllers from Sino-Venezuela Guangdong Petrochemical Company for its 20 million ton-per-year, heavy crude processing project. The preliminary estimated quantity is over 4,000 units, including the ND7000 series standard, intrinsically safe, and explosion-proof models.

Metso has also signed an agreement with Hitachi Zosen Inova AG to supply automation for two lines at a greenfield waste-to-energy plant being built by SITA South Tyne and Wear Ltd. in Tees Valley, Billingham, U.K.
Metso has recently received three orders for Metso DNA automation systems for greenfield waste-to-energy plants from the CNIM Group. The latest order is for the North Hykeham plant in Lincolnshire, U.K. It was preceded earlier this year by similar orders for waste-to-energy plants in Turin, Italy, and Maardu, Estonia. CNIM, the European leader in construction of waste-to-energy plants, acts as a contractor in all these projects.
ATLANTA (June 19, 2012) – Siemens Drive Technologies Division’s Norwood (Ohio) Motor Manufacturing Plant has been selected by the Mekorot National Water Company to produce vertical frame motors to support one of the largest water infrastructure projects in Israel since the 1960s.
Siemens global team of motor experts from Norwood and Siemens Israel collaborated to secure an order for 10, 2,600kW (3,487 hp each, Above NEMA) vertical motors, totaling approximately $2.7 million.
