Brian Daschner, 71, started his career in the pump industry in 1978, working as a district salesperson for Mid-South Pump in Tennessee. A graduate of Memphis State University, he held various positions with different pump manufacturing companies over the years, eventually using his experience and industry knowledge to found Hydroflo Pumps USA in 1998. After over a decade of pioneering work with Hydroflo, he went on to found Integrity Pump & Motor, where he is currently CEO.
According to Joseph Aeschliman, president of Integrity Pump & Motor and one of several who nominated Daschner as a 2025 Pumps & Systems Industry Veteran, Daschner “has not only shaped the industry but also redefined the way pumps are designed and manufactured. [His] leadership and innovation have directly contributed to advancements in pump construction, improving efficiency, reliability and longevity. Few individuals have left as lasting an impact on the vertical turbine pump industry as Brian Daschner.”
In addition to his contributions to the pump industry, Daschner has also served as an inspiration to those he has encountered over the course of his career. According to Aeschliman, Daschner is “known for his mentorship and dedication to the next generation of industry professionals. His passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement has inspired countless engineers, sales professionals and manufacturers alike.” Jim Aubrey, CEO of Kinetiflo Group and another of Daschner’s nominators, added that Daschner “is highly respected throughout the pump industry for his extensive experience, entrepreneurial spirit and strategic vision.”
Daschner himself views the people in his professional life as the best part of his job, saying, “This industry is filled with a lot of great people. I want to thank many of them for being a part of my success and hopefully they will feel the same about me.”
When asked what advice he would offer to young professionals and others in the industry, Daschner replied, “You must have good integrity. In the end, it means more than your education or the money you have made.”
