(Jan. 7, 2016) – The Endress+Hauser Group is making personnel changes at the top. Dr Gerhard Jost, a member of the executive board, retired at the end of 2015. Dr Manfred Jagiella has joined the Group’s top management panel. On June 1, 2016, Michael Ziesemer will move to the company’s Supervisory Board. At the same time, Andreas Mayr will take over responsibility on the Executive Board.

Gerhard Jost was appointed managing director of flow measurement engineering specialist Endress+Hauser Flowtec based in Reinach, Switzerland in 2000. He joined the Executive Board in 2009 where he was responsible for production and logistics; since 2014, he focused on these tasks as a member of the group management. After 15 years of valuable service, Gerhard Jost retired on Dec. 31 2015. “We owe Mr Jost a great deal of thanks for his achievements and his commitment,” said Klaus Endress, president of the Supervisory Board.

Michael Ziesemer joined Endress+Hauser in 1981. He became managing director of the production center for level and pressure measurement engineering in Maulburg, Germany in 1992. He then took over management of the German sales center in Weil am Rhein in 1996. Since 1999, he has been active in the Group management and joined the Executive Board in 2002. Michael Ziesemer, who has served as chief operating officer and the CEO’s deputy since 2008, will end his membership of the Executive Board on May 31, 2016. “We are pleased that Mr. Ziesemer will bring his knowledge and experience to our Supervisory Board in future,” said Klaus Endress. On 1 June 2016, Michael Ziesemer will replace Klaus Eisele who is leaving the board after 14 years.

Manfred Jagiella joined the Executive Board on Jan. 1, 2016. He will remain managing director of liquid analysis specialist Endress+Hauser Conducta, based in Gerlingen, Germany. On June 1, 2016, Andreas Mayr will also join the Executive Board. He will continue to oversee the production center for level and pressure measurement engineering in Maulburg. “We can be proud that we found two excellent successors within our own ranks,” said Klaus Endress.

Endress+Hauser is using these personnel changes as an opportunity to bundle activities and reallocate responsibilities within the Executive Board. CEO Matthias Altendorf will focus on production, logistics and corporate strategy. Manfred Jagiella is responsible for Endress+Hauser’s analytical business, while Andreas Mayr will oversee the Group’s marketing, technology and communications activities. In addition, Nikolaus Krüger, a member of the Executive Board since 2008, will take over responsibility for all of the Group’s sales activities.

The remaining members of the Executive Board – Roland Kienzler (human resources), Pieter de Koning (IT), Dr Luc Schultheiss (finance and controlling) and Heiner Zehntner (legal) – will be unaffected by these changes and will continue to oversee their respective areas of responsibility.
