LITTLETON, Colo. — IMI announced that it has agreed to acquire Bimba, a manufacturer of pneumatic, hydraulic and electric motion solutions with an extensive distributor network principally servicing the North American Industrial Automation market. Bimba will become an integral part of IMI Precision Engineering and the acquisition represents a significant strategic step for the division.
IRVING, Texas – Petrobras and ExxonMobil signed a memorandum of understanding regarding a strategic alliance to jointly identify and evaluate potential business opportunities.
The memorandum of understanding was signed in Rio de Janeiro by Pedro Parente, president of Petrobras, Brad Corson, president of ExxonMobil Upstream Ventures, and Stephen Greenlee, president of ExxonMobil Exploration Company.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the Chicago Department of Water Management (DWM) today unveiled the converted Springfield Avenue Pumping Station. The change from a steam based system to an electrically operated facility will reduce carbon emissions by nearly 70 percent, increase reliability and save the City an estimated $4.5 million annually in operating expenses.
RYE BROOK, N.Y .-- Xylem Inc. announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire all the issued and outstanding shares of Pure Technologies Ltd. for CAD $9.00 per share in cash, representing an enterprise value of CAD$509 million, or USD$397 million. Pure’s Board of Directors has unanimously approved the transaction and recommends that Pure shareholders vote in favor of the transaction.

GREAT YARMOUTH, England – SIMMONS EDECO announced that it has been awarded a contract by EDF Energy, the UK's largest producer of low-carbon electricity.
The contract requires SIMMONS EDECO to provide the French utility company with a range of services to maintain its gas storage facilities in Cheshire, England. More specifically, SIMMONS EDECO is supplying production wellhead and valve maintenance, and integrity testing services to optimize facility operations.
