ENSCHEDE, the Netherlands (Feb. 23, 2016) – Pentair was named “Water Innovator of the Year” during the Water Vision Congress, held February 18, 2016 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Pentair’s new X-Flow Helix technology was recognized for its ability to prevent membrane fouling and reduce energy use in the treatment of industrial wastewater.
HOUSTON (Feb. 23, 2016) – GE has announced that it will supply its wastewater treatment equipment for an upgrade of Indianapolis Power & Light Company’s (IPL) Petersburg Generating Station. GE will provide its brine concentration (evaporation) technology to treat flue gas desulfurization (FGD) wastewater discharge, enabling IPL to meet its U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit requirements.
