BALTIMORE, Md. (Nov. 16, 2015) – John Galyen, president of Danfoss North America, has been elected to serve on the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Board of Governors. The new Board of Governors, including its chairwoman and officers and NEMA’s Executive Committee for 2016, was announced Nov. 10.

Galyen will serve a three-year term on the board, starting in 2016, alongside executives from companies such as Eaton, Siemens, Rockwell Automation and ABB.

AURORA, Ill. (Nov. 16, 2015) – The management teams of CENTA Antriebe Kirschey GmbH and Christie & Grey Limited have announced a strategic global sales cooperation between their companies.

The agreement allows the two companies to join forces to engineer and strategically supply the industry’s premium “quiet drive” solutions—combining soft mounting systems, flexible couplings and intermediate drive shaft systems.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The Water Environment Federation (WEF) announced that Chris French has joined the organization as its new Director of Stormwater Programs. French will use his more than 15 years of water sector experience to expand this core competency area for WEF and guide the efforts of the WEF Stormwater Institute, a recently launched center of excellence that provides national leadership for sustainable stormwater management.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. (Nov. 12, 2015) – Encouraging participation from qualified academics, industry consultants and end users was the driving force behind this new initiative to recruit individual experts to work alongside Hydraulic Institute (HI) members in developing technical materials for the pump industry. “This was an easy decision for our board,” said board chairman and Hydro CEO, George Harris.

PORT ARTHUR, Texas (Nov. 10, 2015) – Standard Alloys Inc., a KSB company, has expanded its pump engineering facilities with the opening of a new 15,000-square-foot workshop in Deer Park, Texas. The new plant is strategically located near the Houston ship channel to add further capacity to Standard Alloys already established repair centers located in Vidor and Port Arthur, Texas and Port Allen, Louisiana.

HOUSTON, Texas (Nov. 9, 2015) – CURFLO has moved into a new facility in Houston, Texas, which will serve as their worldwide headquarters.

From their new 32,000 square-foot facility, CURFLO will manufacture ANSI G-Line and D-Line Series pumps as well as the following Centrifugal Mud Pumps: 118-Series (10-1600 GPM), 250-Series (50 -4000 GPM), and XL-Series (1000-5200 GPM). Full service and repair of all makes and models of pumps is also available.

HOUSTON (Nov. 4, 2015) — Hilco Industrial announces it will hold a public online auction of the oilfield and oil well support assets of HII Technologies, Inc. HII, with operations in Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio and West Virginia, provided equipment and services to oil exploration and production companies operating horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing sites in the United States.
