NORDBORG, Denmark (April 7, 2016) - On April 4, Danish Minister for Higher Education and Science Ulla Tørnæs inaugurated a new cross-Atlantic partnership, the Water Technology Alliance (WTA) California, in San Francisco, California. The aim of the cross-Atlantic partnership is to share knowledge and to develop water technology solutions targeting the current water crisis caused by climate change.

Now, Danfoss, through its business segment Danfoss Drives, is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of variable speed drives, with more than 5,000 employees specializing in motor control, sales and service centers in more than 50 countries and production and R&D operations in China, Denmark, Finland, Germany, India, Italy and the United States.

(Dec. 29, 2015) – Danfoss has appointed Miha Kavcic as head of sales and business development in North America. In this role, Kavcic will be responsible for advancing the company’s business within the heating market—including energy-saving hydronic balancing and control, electric heating and combined heat and power solutions.

BALTIMORE, Md. (Nov. 16, 2015) – John Galyen, president of Danfoss North America, has been elected to serve on the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Board of Governors. The new Board of Governors, including its chairwoman and officers and NEMA’s Executive Committee for 2016, was announced Nov. 10.

Galyen will serve a three-year term on the board, starting in 2016, alongside executives from companies such as Eaton, Siemens, Rockwell Automation and ABB.
