Robert Lax is global product manager for PumpSmart Control Solutions at ITT PRO Services. He has an interdisciplinary engineering and management degree from Clarkson University and an MBA from Syracuse University. He spent more than a decade integrating technologies—such as power electronics and wireless systems with rotating equipment—to improve reliability and reduce energy use. Lax and his team have helped customers in numerous industries implement smart pumping systems and integrated pump control solutions and have advanced the technology for higher-energy pumps with more intelligent, user-friendly monitoring and control systems.
