Anvil International, a manufacturer of pipe fittings, pipe hangers and piping support systems in the world, announced the promotion of Brandon Gunnell to director of marketing. Anvil International is a subsidiary of Mueller Water Products Inc. (NYSE:MWA), a leading North American provider of water infrastructure products and services.
In his new role, Gunnell will manage the global marketing of Anvil’s complete product line. He brings more than 20 years of industry-specific sales experience, including 10 years with Anvil. Most recently, he served as the company’s regional sales manager for the Western United States. His achievements in this position included increasing regional sales by 28 percent in just two years, and helping to grow the company’s relationship with key clients.
“We’ve seen the difference Brandon can make at the regional level, and we’re excited to see him thrive as a global director,” said Dean Taylor, vice president of sales and marketing. “I am confident that his comprehensive industry knowledge will enhance Anvil’s position as a market leader.”
Before joining Anvil, Gunnell held senior sales positions ata large wholesale distributor, overseeing a rapidly growing Denver branch, developing new markets and handling successful product introductions. He began his career with a master distributor in Salt Lake establishing the company’s Western U.S. location from the ground up, developing the customer base as well as sales and operations procedures.
Gunnell will be based out of Anvil’s Portsmouth, N.H., headquarters and will report directly to Taylor.
