HOUSTON - EagleBurgmann has named Kai Ziegler its new chief technology officer (CTO).

Michael Stomberg, currently chief operating officer (COO) of EagleBurgmann, will leave Freudenberg at his own request after twelve years of successful service to take up the position of CEO at a publicly listed company in Bavaria.

"We would like to thank Michael Stomberg for his exceptional commitment to Freudenberg, especially for the EagleBurgmann business group, and wish him all the best for the future," said Mohsen Sohi, CEO of the Freudenberg Group.

With Ziegler, the company has appointed an experienced successor. He brings extensive knowledge and in-depth expertise to the role of CTO at EagleBurgmann. Before joining EagleBurgmann, he had been the executive vice president and CTO at Voith Turbo since 2016.

Ziegler began his career as a development engineer/project Manager at MTU Aero Engines GmbH, then moved to MAN Diesel & Turbo SE, where he held various management positions for many years, most recently as Vice President Engineering for the Compressors division.

And so the general management of EagleBurgmann now consists of three members since October 1, 2018: Dr. Andreas Raps (CEO), Dr. Sebastian Weiss (CFO) and Dr. Kai Ziegler (CTO).
