ROCK HILL, S.C. - Atlas Copco Compressors has joined the Coalition for Renewable Natural Gas (RNG Coalition). As part of its membership, David Walters, CNG/RNG national sales manager for Atlas Copco Compressors, will serve on the advisory board in renewable fuels, renewable gas, and consumer access and outreach.

The RNG Coalition advocates for sustainable development, deployment, and utilization of renewable natural gas so that present and future generations will have access to domestic, renewable, clean fuel and energy.

“The work of the RNG Coalition is pivotal in raising awareness of the benefits of renewable natural gas and the role it serves for future-proofing so many industries across North America,” said Walters. “We’re excited to be part of shaping this future with the Coalition.”

Atlas Copco has a long history when it comes to compressed natural gas (CNG) and RNG. Since the acquisition of Greenfield Compression in 2007, Atlas Copco has further expanded its capabilities and knowledge with over 250 customer sites across the length and breadth of North America. The company’s range of expertise covers compressors, dispensers, and control systems, along with local partnerships that allow for a complete turnkey installation.

“We are thrilled to welcome Atlas Copco to the RNG Coalition," said Johannes D. Escudero, CEO and executive director of the RNG Coalition. “Each member represents unique expertise and valuable sector experience. As part of the RNG Coalition, members like Atlas Copco help to create and share the compelling RNG story. We look forward to working together to advance our shared industry mission and achieve our SMART Initiative."
