ATLANTA – Registration has opened for the SMRP 29th Annual Conference, taking place both virtually and in-person in St. Louis, Missouri on October 25-28, 2021. This hybrid model and return to partially in-person events notes a marked shift from the 2020 Annual Conference that took place virtually as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from more than 80 experts in maintenance, reliability, and physical asset management during 200+ hours of ‎education sessions and workshops.

The four-day event will host over 80 presenters from around the world, including keynote speaker, Eric O'Neill. O’Neill is a security consultant, attorney, and author, who will ‎weave his real-life experiences into the keynote presentation that will be ‎both entertaining and rewarding. The remarkable true ‎events of his life are the inspiration behind the critically ‎acclaimed dramatic thriller "Breach," starring Ryan ‎Philippe as O'Neill. The film is the story of the greatest ‎security breach in US history. Attendees will also have the chance to earn up to ‎‎24 hours of recertification credits, which is 48 percent of the ‎requirement for CMRPs and CMRTs, by attending the various workshops and track sessions. Networking events will also be offered to both in-person and virtual attendees for the chance to connect with other practitioners and the 60+ exhibitors registered to attend.

“We are thrilled at the prospect of once again hosting an in-person event this fall, and it’s even more exciting that it’s our Annual Conference,” said Erin Erickson, executive director, SMRP.‎ “Every year, this event attracts nearly 1,000 maintenance and reliability professionals from around the world and we can’t wait to have them back together again in person.”

In addition to the keynote presentation, there will be over 80 workshops and speaker sessions that focus on six unique tracks: Business and Management, Manufacturing Process Reliability, Equipment Reliability, Organization and Leadership, Work Management, and Emerging Technologies. Some of the topics that will be covered over the course of Annual Conference include “8 Steps to Implementing a Successful Preventive Maintenance Program,” “Productive Leadership Principals,” “Performance Analytics to Drive Maintenance Strategies,” “A Case History of a Successful Reliability Journey,” and many more.

SMRP hosted a successful year of virtual events during 2020 and 2021, including the 28th Annual Conference, originally planned to take place in Columbus, Ohio, which welcomed over 600 virtual attendees last fall, and included a wide variety of track sessions, workshops, and more. Similarly, SMRP Simposio, an event held solely in Spanish, took place in April 2021 and welcomed nearly 75 attendees in its virtual format.
