COIMBATORE, India – EKKI Group, together with Germany-based sewage technology leader HOMA Pumpenfabrik GmbH, has expanded their joint-venture manufacturing facility EKKI HOMA, strengthening the production of advanced sewage pumping solutions in Coimbatore, India.
The expansion was recently inaugurated by N. K. Ranganath, chief advisor of EKKI HOMA, along with Hans Hoffmann, Marcel Hoffmann, Arumugam P and Kanishka Arumugam, directors of EKKI HOMA.
The recent expansion marks an important step in the Indo-German industrial collaboration between the two companies and reinforces their shared vision of delivering high-performance sewage pumping technologies for India and emerging markets.
The upgraded facility integrates advanced pump and motor manufacturing infrastructure, automated testing and balancing systems, and digital assembly capabilities, specially designed with support from the TVS Group, enabling the production of advanced sewage pumps.
The expansion further strengthens EKKI HOMA’s manufacturing presence in Coimbatore and enhances its ability to support customers across India and Asia.
India’s strong industrial ecosystem particularly the engineering and manufacturing base in Coimbatore continues to play a key role in the collaboration. The region has long been recognized for its deep expertise in pumps, motors, foundries, machining and engineering talent.
The joint venture also benefits from the advanced manufacturing capabilities of KOOT and access to the Engineering University that is part of the EKKI Group, which contributes precision-machined components and advanced engineering support for pump and motor systems.
