EASTON, Pa. -- Effective July 8, 2019, Victaulic has purchased Globe Fire Sprinkler. Combined, these two companies will have the resources and capabilities to bring solutions to the fire protection industry around the world.

Steven Worthington, who will continue to serve the combined organization as President, Globe Fire Protection said, "Victaulic brings additional financial resources to Globe, enabling added focus on innovation to support our customers and the industry."

HOUSTON—Callon Petroleum Company and Carrizo Oil & Gas, Inc. announced that the boards of directors have unanimously approved a definitive agreement under which Callon will acquire Carrizo in an all-stock transaction valued at $3.2 billion. This combination will create an oil and gas company with scaled development operations across a portfolio of core oil-weighted assets in both the Permian Basin and Eagle Ford Shale.

Stefano Sampaolo is the new president of Assopompe, an association that represents Italian pump manufacturers in ANIMA Confindustria.

Born in 1970 in Milan, Sampaolo has a degree in civil engineering and has been working in the pump sector since 1996. Since 2005 he has worked at Xylem Water Solutions Italia, of which he has been managing director for seven years; since 2017 he has also held the position of regional director for the region composed of Italy, Spain and Portugal.

MILWAUKEE - Gardner Denver Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: GDI), a global provider of mission-critical flow control and compression equipment, announced that it has acquired Oina VV AB, for a net purchase price of approximately $10 million funded by cash on hand. Based in Stockholm, Sweden, Oina specializes in customized pump solutions for liquid handling processes for use in medical, process and industrial applications. Oina will be part of Gardner Denver’s Medical Segment.

DALLAS - Flowserve Corporation, a provider of flow control products and services for the global infrastructure markets, announced that Sanjay Chowbey will join Flowserve as president, aftermarket services & solutions. He assumed his role on July 15. Chowbey takes on the role previously held by Kirk Wilson, who will be the new president of Flowserve’s flow control division, following the retirement of John Lenander.

Metso and Outotec have agreed to combine Metso Minerals and Outotec to create a company in process technology, equipment and services serving the minerals, metals and aggregates industries. The combined company, comprising Metso Minerals and Outotec (but excluding Metso Flow Control), will be named “Metso Outotec.” It had combined sales of 3.9 billion pounds in 2018 (approximately 4.2 billion pounds including the impact of the recently announced acquisition of McCloskey by Metso).

ENON, Ohio - Norman Zombor has been hired for the position of SEEPEX territory manager for the Northwest region of the United States and Canada as of June, 2019. He covers provinces British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon, and Saskatchewan and states Oregon, Washington, and Alaska’s industrial market.

Zombor was previously employed with other industrial engineering and manufacturing firms for the past 20 years where he sold progressive cavity pumps to markets similar to SEEPEX’s.

SAN FRANCISCO – Hazen and Sawyer has announced the appointment of Gregg Cummings as senior associate and senior project manager.

Cummings has more than 30 years of experience in water, wastewater, and water reuse including program and facility planning, pilot testing, studies, design, and construction of water-related infrastructure. His projects have required extensive coordination with multidisciplinary teams, regulators, and public agencies and outreach to the public.
