PARSIPPANY, N.J. (Oct. 3, 2016)—The Hydraulic Institute announced that member company Xylem Applied Water System is the latest company to have its pump test laboratories approved through the HI Pump Test Lab Approval Program.

The approved pump test labs are Xylem Seneca Falls Research and Development Lab located at 2881 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, N.Y., and Xylem Morton Grove Research and Development Lab located at 8200 N. Austin Ave., Morton Grove, Ill.

BOSTON (Sept. 29, 2016)—Led by California and Florida, water reuse (the process of recycling wastewater) is taking off in states facing drought and scarcity. Municipal wastewater reuse capacity is expected to increase 58 percent from 2016 through 2026, according to new market forecasts from Bluefield Research. The estimate is based on a database of 607 currently planned reuse projects. CAPEX investment in reuse is expected to total $11 billion between 2016 and 2026.

NEW ORLEANS, La. (Sept. 28, 2016) – The Water Council of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, received a Gold Excellence in Economic Development Award from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) for its BREW Accelerator program. The honor was presented at an awards ceremony Tuesday, Sept. 27, during the IEDC Annual Conference, which was held Sept. 25-28, in Cleveland, Ohio.

AURORA, Ill. (Sept. 27, 2016) — Grundfos held its fifth annual Walk for Water charitable benefit in Kansas City, Missouri, and Aurora, Illinois, raising more than $35,000 for global water crisis relief.

Roughly 230 Grundfos employees and local participants joined the two events, designed to build awareness about the global water crisis and raise funds for safe, sustainable water solutions in developing countries.
