SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (Nov. 2, 2015) – GE has announced that with the completion of its Alstom acquisition, GE Power & Water and Alstom Power have combined to form GE Power. Headquartered in Schenectady, New York, Steve Bolze will serve as president and CEO of GE Power, leading more than 65,000 employees in more than 150 countries with estimated revenue of $30 billion.

(Nov. 2, 2015) – Royal Dutch Shell plc (Shell) has announced the completion of two divestments from its global downstream portfolio.
In France, the company has completed the sale of its Butagaz LPG business to DCC Energy. The transaction is a share sale, and all Butagaz staff, together with the Butagaz brand, has passed to DCC Energy.

VECHTA, Germany (Nov. 2015) – The ground was broken on Oct. 19 for an innovative biogas project in Australia. In the next 14 months, German biogas plant manufacturer WELTEC BIOPOWER and its project partner Aquatec Maxcon will establish a biogas plant in a Melbourne suburb. The 1 MW plant for the anaerobic digestion of organic waste will be one of the first of its kind in Australia.
