(Oct. 27, 2015) – MP Pumps has added Edwin Laabs to the company’s management team as the global vice president of sales and marketing. Laabs brings extensive experience in industrial sales and marketing to the MP team. Laabs has worked with OEM's and Industrial Distribution for 31 years and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Industrial Supply Association.

GROVETOWN, Ga. (Oct. 22, 2015) – KSB's US subsidiary GIW Industries, Inc. has entered into a sales and service partnership with the Finnish company Outotec. Outotec is a globally active company offering technologies and services for the metal and mineral processing industries. GIW is part of the KSB Group and manufacturers slurry pumps that are primarily used in mining applications.

(Oct. 22, 2015) – Roughly 175 Grundfos employees joined family, friends and corporate partners in its annual Walk for Water event held in Kansas City, Missouri and Aurora, Illinois. The initiative was designed to raise awareness about the global water crisis and to raise funds for safe, sustainable water solutions in developing countries.

RYE BROOK, N.Y. (Oct. 20, 2015) – Increasing energy efficiency through the adoption of readily available wastewater management technologies can slash related emissions by nearly half, according to a new study released by Xylem Inc. The analysis further concludes that 95 percent of the electricity-related emissions abatement can be achieved at negative or neutral cost.

GUANGZHOU, China (Oct. 20, 2015) – Aquatech has been awarded a contract to provide a water treatment facility that includes a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) plant for a coal-to-liquid fuels conversion project being developed by Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Co. Ltd., a division of Shenhua Group, a coal producer in China.

(16 October 2015)—KSB Pumps Ltd. India won an order for the supply of six boiler feed pumps to be installed in the new fossil-fueled power station located in Tanda in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. India’s national power utility is currently building two new power plant units there, each with a capacity of 600 megawatts (MW). The pumps are designed for a pressure of 500 bar. An electric motor and a turbine with power ratings of 11 MW and 17 MW respectively will serve to drive the pumps.

West Virginia (Oct. 15, 2015) – BridgeValley Community and Technical College in West Virginia celebrated the opening of a Process Training Unit (PTU) made possible by contributions from Endress+Hauser, BridgeValley and Rockwell Automation. BridgeValley will be the new home to a $1 million, 1,800 square-foot, state-of-the-art PTU.
