THE HAGUE, The Netherlands (8 April 2015) – The Boards of Shell and BG announced that they have reached agreement on the terms of a recommended cash and share offer to be made by Shell for the entire issued and to be issued share capital of BG. The Combination will result in BG Shareholders owning approximately 19 percent of the combined group. Shell expects the Combination to accelerate its growth strategy in global LNG and deep water.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (April 9, 2015) – Mazzei Injector Company, LLC, a manufacturer of innovative injection systems and fluid processing solutions, announces the addition of Jim Lauria as vice president of sales and marketing. Geoffrey Whynot, president of Mazzei, stated that with Lauria’s knowledge in the field of water technology and proven track record of new business development, Mazzei is bracing for substantial growth.

PITTSBURGH (April 9, 2015) – Lewis-Goetz is pleased to announce it has acquired Action Industrial Group, a South Carolina-based fabricator and distributor specializing in fasteners, gaskets, hose products and industrial construction tools and supplies. The acquisition will add seven Southeast locations to the Lewis-Goetz footprint, as well as considerable gasket fabrication technologies. Action Industrial Group has 78 employees and had $21.5 million in net sales last year.

SULPHUR, La. (April 8, 2015) – ABB has opened a new local service office near Lake Charles, Louisiana. The office will provide services and support for ABB’s automation and power portfolio including control systems (System 800xA, Symphony Plus, and heritage control systems), instrumentation, analytical products, low voltage drives, and power systems and products.

DUBAI, UAE (1 April 2015)—HE Eng. Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy, announced the second edition of the highly acclaimed UAE State of Energy Report. SHARM-EL-SHEIKH, Egypt (26 March 2015)—RWL Water & Orascom Construction Limited (OCL) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Egyptian government to proceed with the feasibility study for building, financing and operating the first large desalination plant in Egypt for the supply of potable water. The project will include the development of an 80,000 cubic meters per day plant with a possibility to increase its capacity in the future.
