BALTIMORE (Jan. 6, 2015) – Danfoss has appointed Joseph Rich as senior director of sales and marketing, North America.

In this role, Rich will focus on growing the company’s VLT Drives business in the North American market, providing leadership and directing strategy for both sales and marketing. He will continue to strengthen customer relationships and develop programs to build loyalty for Danfoss products and services.

BALTIMORE (Jan. 6, 2015) – Danfoss has named Sean Kurtz general manager and director of operations for its compressor manufacturing facility in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. In this role, Kurtz will provide leadership to the facility’s management team and daily production processes, as well as execute the company’s global business strategy at the local level.

PITTSBURGH (Jan. 5, 2015) – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based L.B. Foster Company has announced an agreement to acquire Chemtec Energy Services, LLC of Willis, Texas, a major supplier of blending, injection and custody transfer metering skids for critical uses in the oil and gas industry.

The acquisition expands L.B. Foster's ability to provide engineered solutions for the midstream market where a substantial amount of pipeline infrastructure is still needed.

NORTH AURORA, Ill. (Jan. 5, 2015) – For the first time, engineering firms, end users, contractors and purchasers have a single point-of-contact to readily source all of their industrial and marine fire protection systems and equipment. Andrew M. Crawford, known as an expert in industrial pumping systems and equipment, is leading this initiative for Pentair.

BRISBANE, Australia (Dec. 31, 2014) – GE Oil & Gas has contributed to the global liquefied natural gas industry with its systems used in the first ever large-scale production of liquified natural gas (LNG) from coal seam gas (CSG) at BG Group’s Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) plant on Curtis Island.

GE technology of gas turbines, centrifugal compressors and generators are integral parts of the QCLNG facility that has begun producing LNG for its first export shipment.

WASHINGTON (Dec. 23, 2015) – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will hold three public hearings on the proposed updates to the national air quality standards for ground-level ozone, also known as smog. EPA has proposed to strengthen the standards to a level within a range of 65 to 70 parts per billion (ppb) to better protect Americans’ health and the environment, while taking comment on a level down to 60 ppb.
