ERLANGEN, Germany (April 29, 2014) – Siemens has installed the BorWin2 offshore platform in the North Sea northwest of the island of Borkum. This marks Siemens' achievement of the second crucial milestone in the German grid connection projects under contract with the German-Dutch network operator TenneT. Siemens had already erected its first converter platform for the HelWin1 connection off Heligoland in the North Sea in August 2013.

STREAMWOOD, Ill. (April 28, 2014) – Trelleborg’s offshore operation has been awarded its Licença Municipal de Operação (LMO) certification, a municipal license which permits the company to manufacture in Brazil. As a result, Trelleborg has received and delivered its first order for its Vikotherm PT thermal insulation tape, manufactured at its Brazil facility.
(April 28, 2014)—Metso will supply Neles globe valve technology to Abu Dhabi Oil Refinery Company's (TAKREER) chemical refining complex in in the United Arab Emirates. The deliveries will include hundreds of Metso's Neles Globe control and on-off valves. Most of the control valves are equipped with Neles ND9000 intelligent valve controllers (FOUNDATION Fieldbus) for performance follow-up and predictive maintenance.

ERLANGEN, Germany (April 25, 2014) – China’s Shenhua Ningmei Coal Group has placed a follow-up order with Siemens Energy for four identical CO2 compressor trains for a coal liquefaction plant. The end customer is Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group Co. Ltd. (SNCG), a subsidiary of the Shenhua Group, the largest coal producer in China. The compressor trains are destined for a coal liquefaction plant in Ningxia Province, which lies in the northwestern part of the People’s Republic of China.
WASHINGTON, D.C.
