ERLANGEN, Germany (April 7, 2014) – The Andong combined cycle power plant (CCPP) in South Korea was erected in a record time of only 24 months. This liquefied natural gas (LNG) fired plant has an electrical capacity of 417 megawatts, making it the second Siemens operating H-class-based combined-cycle power plant in Asia with an efficiency level of more than 60 percent. The owner and operator is Korea Southern Power Co. Ltd. (KOSPO), a power supply utility.

RYE BROOK, N.Y. IRVING, Texas (April 4, 2014) – ExxonMobil and its employees are donating $44.2 million to higher education institutions across the country as part of the ExxonMobil Foundation’s 2013 Educational Matching Gift Program, an increase of 10 percent over the prior year.

ExxonMobil employees, retirees, directors and surviving spouses contributed $13.7 million, which was matched with $30.5 million in unrestricted grants from the ExxonMobil Foundation.
