BRISBANE, Australia (Nov. 12, 2013) – Schlumberger announced the official opening of the Schlumberger Reservoir Laboratory in Brisbane, Australia. The state-of-the-art, 10,000 sq. ft. facility is the latest addition to the global network of Schlumberger Reservoir Laboratories, offering services that provide core measurements and analysis for unconventional and conventional plays in the oil and gas industry.

NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa. (Nov. 12, 2013) – The ExOne Company announced that Brian W. Smith will join the company as chief financial officer and treasurer on Jan. 1, 2014. John Irvin, the company’s current chief financial officer and treasurer, will assume the role of special adviser to the chairman. Since joining ExOne in October 2012, Irvin is credited with overseeing the company’s February 2013 initial public offering and subsequent public company financial responsibilities.

SANTIAGO, Chile (Nov. 11, 2013) – GE's Power Conversion business announced that it has finalized the acquisition of the Chilean power electronics company Ingeniería y Desarrollo Tecnológico S.A. (IDT). With this move, Power Conversion is actively positioning the company to build a stronger regional presence and capture a greater share of the mining segment.

ERLANGEN, Germany (Nov. 12, 2013) – Siemens Energy has received orders for a total of 20 SGT-800 industrial gas turbines from Thailand. The turbines will be used in various combined cycle cogeneration power plants within Thailand. The contract is part of the Thai government’s program to support small power producers. The end customers are the Thai independent power producers Amata B.Grimm Power Limited (ABP), which ordered 10 turbines, SSUT Co. Ltd. & PPTC Co. Ltd.
