MEQUON, Wisc. (June 19, 2013) – In response to a recent surge in sales of automated discrete chemistry analyzers and segmented flow analyzers, SEAL Analytical has announced the appointment of Sadie Vick to the position of Technical Support Chemist, based in the UK.
Vick has an honors degree in chemistry from the University of Liverpool and has previous experience in technical roles with a laboratory equipment manufacturer, working both in the UK and in China.
BRUSSELS (June 19, 2013) – Carlo Banfi, Managing Director of Sterling Fluid Systems (Italy) and President of Assopompe, the Italian Pump Manufacturers Association, is the new Europump President. He was elected President in Prague, the Czech Republic, in replacement of Dr. Sönke Brodersen.

(June 28, 2013) – NETZSCH recently named Robert Kisler the National Sales and Product Manager for the TORNADO® product line with responsibility for North America for both the Industrial and Municipal Markets. For over twenty five years Mr. Kisler has spent the majority of his career in the rotary lobe pump, flow systems marketplace and has extensive channel partner experience. Mr. Kisler is based in Akron, Ohio.
CHENGDU, China (July 3, 2013) – Schlumberger announced the official opening of the Schlumberger Reservoir Laboratory in Chengdu, China. The state-of-the-art, 32,000 sq. ft. facility is the newest addition to the Schlumberger global network of reservoir laboratories. The laboratory offers an integrated suite of petrophysical and geomechanical services to help customers improve hydrocarbon recovery and maximize production throughout the life of their reservoirs.
ERLANGEN, Germany (July 8, 2013) – Mario Azar is appointed CEO of the Solutions Business Unit in the Oil & Gas Division of Siemens’ Energy Sector effective July 1. Prior to this appointment, he was Executive Vice President of Siemens Energy’s Gas Turbine Power Plant Solutions in the Fossil Power Generation Division since 2008 with responsibility for the business in North and South America.
PARSIPPANY, N.J. (July 9, 2013) – The Hydraulic Institute, North America’s largest pump association, has appointed Mark J. Sullivan as its new Director of Education and Training. Sullivan will support Pump Systems Matter (PSM), a 501(c)3 education/training organization affiliated with the Hydraulic Institute. He will lead all strategic development, marketing and PSM educational programs as well as personnel certification initiatives.
