PITTSBURG (Nov. 20, 2012) – HYOSUNG GoodSprings (HGS), announced that Siemens has selected HGS as the supplier for its Condensate Extraction Pumps (vertical can) and Condensate Recirculation Pumps (API-610) for five combined cycle plants being constructed in Texas and Argentina. HGS has also delivered its first circulating water pumps in the U.S. to a geothermal power plant in northern Nevada.  These pumps have been in service for almost one year. 

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Jan. 31, 2013) – The CWEA Cutting Edge Technology Committee will hold a panel discussion in the Palm Springs Convention Center on April 18, 2013, which will focus on the problematic "flushables" issue in modern trash/wastewater. Immediately following the panel discussion in the same session will be a 25-minute presentation about the related technical aspect: Cutting Edge Technologies.

RADOLFZELL, Germany (Jan. 31, 2013) – Colfax Fluid Handling, a business of Colfax Corporation, has received an order to deliver 21 of its Allweiler screw pumps valued at more than EUR 300,000 for a power plant in Saudi Arabia. The pumps will be an important part of a gas turbine power plant in Yanbu. The order includes 21 pumps for moving heavy, crude (Arabian Light Crude or ALC), and lubricating oil.

PEWAUKEE, Wisc. (Jan. 31, 2013) – Trico Corporation has promoted Jim Jung to Vice President. He is also now a stockholder in the company. With his new appointment, Jung will play a crucial role in shaping the future direction of the company, with an especially keen focus on strategic planning. He will work, on the affairs of the company, setting the vision for the company, and exploring the opportunity for expansion into new markets.

SAN DIEGO (Jan. 30, 2013) – GE Grid Automation and Systems Control, a GE customer, have signed a letter of intent to form a strategic relationship designed to provide utility and industrial customers in North America with a complete, modular packaged solution that can be “dropped in” to new or existing distribution electrical grid infrastructures.

STOCKHOLM (Jan. 29, 2013) – Xylem Inc. is expanding its dewatering pump rental offering across Europe to cater for a growing demand within the construction, municipal, mining and industrial sectors. Xylem will increase its bank of surface mounted and submersible pumps through an aggressive rental branch rollout scheduled over the coming years including refurbishment of existing premises, brand new locations and via selective acquisitions.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. (Jan. 29, 2013) – The Hydraulic Institute, leading the efforts of the pump industry in North America to address the U.S. DOE pump efficiency rule-making, announced to its members the availability of the long-anticipated DOE “Framework” document from the United States Department of Energy on a pump efficiency rule-making.
