ATLANTA – Registration has opened for the SMRP 29th Annual Conference, taking place both virtually and in-person in St. Louis, Missouri on October 25-28, 2021. This hybrid model and return to partially in-person events notes a marked shift from the 2020 Annual Conference that took place virtually as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

OAKLAND, CA — Today, the US Water Alliance announced the winners of the US Water Prize 2021, an annual award that recognizes people and organizations leading innovative approaches to water management and a more sustainable water future. CHICAGO - WEF executive director Walt Marlowe released this letter for those attending the WEFTEC conference in Chicago from Oct. 16-20. The trade show floor will be open from Oct. 18-20. The conference is requiring full proof of vaccination or results of a negative test for COVID-19 obtained no more than 48 hours before arrival at registration to pick up credentials

LIVINGSTON, Ill. -- Illinois American Water President Justin Ladner today announced the company’s acquisition of the Village of Livingston water and wastewater systems. The purchase adds approximately 375 water and 352 wastewater customers to the company’s southern Illinois service area.

The Village of Livingston voted in favor of the sale in June 2020. The Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) recently approved the sale for $550,000. The sale was completed today.

ALVIN, Texas -- ORG Chem Group LLC (Chem Group) announced today it has acquired substantially all of the assets of MPR Services, Inc (MPR). The acquisition further expands Chem Group’s presence within the amines reclamation industry, and will introduce onsite reclamation capabilities delivered through mobile and permanent units. The combined organizations will be headquartered in Evansville, IN with additional facilities in Troy, Indiana, Hot Springs, Arkansas and Alvin, Texas.

SINGAPORE - Bently Nevada, a Baker Hughes business and a leader in condition monitoring and asset protection, is opening a new remote monitoring center (RMC) in Singapore to provide remote monitoring and diagnostic services for industrial customers in Asia-Pacific. This will be the first RMC for Bently Nevada in Asia-Pacific and the eighth in the world, supporting services in English, Mandarin and Malay.

AUSTIN, Texas - Robert Goode has joined planning, engineering and program management firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) as vice president and senior program manager. He will be responsible for growing LAN’s business in Austin and central Texas, enhancing the firm’s profile with municipal and local agencies in the region, and serving as an advisor for municipal transportation projects nationwide.

WEST CHESTER, Ohio – Ruthman Companies, a group of global pump and valve manufacturing and service brands, has appointed Christopher Crawford to the position of general manager of its Warren, Michigan, based Process Systems, Inc. (PSI) division.

Crawford joined PSI in April, bringing extensive engineering experience in pumps, piping and process systems to the role from decades spent in the refining/petrochemical and automotive industries.
