IRVING, Texas – ExxonMobil and its employees are donating $49.8 million to almost 840 institutions of higher education across the country as part of the ExxonMobil Foundation’s 2017 Educational Matching Gift Program.

ExxonMobil employees, retirees, directors and surviving spouses contributed $16.9 million, which was matched with $32.9 million in unrestricted grants from the ExxonMobil Foundation.

IRVING, Texas – Exxon Mobil Corporation announced its seventh oil discovery offshore Guyana, following drilling at the Pacora-1 exploration well.

ExxonMobil encountered approximately 65 feet (20 meters) of high-quality, oil-bearing sandstone reservoir. The well was safely drilled to 18,363 feet (5,597 meters) depth in 6,781 feet (2,067 meters) of water. Drilling commenced on Jan. 29, 2018.


IRVING, Texas – Petrobras and ExxonMobil signed a memorandum of understanding regarding a strategic alliance to jointly identify and evaluate potential business opportunities.

The memorandum of understanding was signed in Rio de Janeiro by Pedro Parente, president of Petrobras, Brad Corson, president of ExxonMobil Upstream Ventures, and Stephen Greenlee, president of ExxonMobil Exploration Company.

IRVING, Texas — Exxon Mobil Corporation announced it will combine its refining and marketing operations into a single company, ExxonMobil Fuels & Lubricants Company, in the first quarter of 2018. Bryan Milton, currently president of ExxonMobil Fuels, Lubricants & Specialties Marketing Company, has been appointed president of the combined division by ExxonMobil’s board of directors, effective January 1, 2018.

HOUSTON (July 25, 2016) — SABIC and an affiliate of Exxon Mobil Corporation are considering the potential development of a jointly owned petrochemical complex on the U.S. Gulf Coast.

If developed, the project would be located in Texas or Louisiana near natural gas feedstock and include a world-scale steam cracker and derivative units.


HOUSTON (Sept. 24, 2014) – ExxonMobil Chemical is increasing production of its high-performance hydrocarbon fluids by approximately 10 percent through expansion projects at its Singapore and Antwerp facilities. The additional capacity, designed to meet rapidly expanding global demand for hydrocarbon fluids and extend the company’s worldwide supply capability, will begin producing by mid-2015 and be complete in 2016.

ANTWERP, Belgium (July 2, 2014) – ExxonMobil affiliate Esso Belgium announced that it plans to install a new delayed coker unit at its Antwerp refinery to convert heavy, higher sulfur residual oils into transportation fuels products such as marine gasoil and diesel fuel. The new unit will expand the refinery’s ability to help meet energy needs throughout northwest Europe, despite a challenging industry environment.
