John Mowen, P.E., is manager of application engineering for Smith & Loveless Inc., a Lenexa, Kan., manufacturer of pre-engineered water and wastewater treatment and pumping systems. Mowen retains more than 35 years of engineering experience in pumping technology and wastewater lift station design and application.
