KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Electrical Apparatus Service Association, Inc. (EASA) has announced the election of HECO President Justin Hatfield to its board of directors as the new director of Region 3, effective July 2025.
EASA is an international trade organization representing more than 1,700 electromechanical sales and service firms in nearly 70 countries around the world. The association also offers engineering and educational programs related to best practices, technology and equipment used in the electromechanical field and related rotating equipment.
One of 10 around the world, Region 3 includes six chapters encompassing portions of Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and West Virginia.
Hatfield brings years of experience to his new role as EASA Region 3 director both professionally and as an active EASA member.
Since January 2017, he has contributed to the association as chairman of the Emerging Technologies Committee and as a member of the Marketing and Industry Awareness Committee.
Joining HECO in 2004, Hatfield worked in a variety of capacities at the business, including shop/repair intern, marketing, customer service and operations, prior to being named president in January 2018. His grandfather, Terrell Hatfield, founded the company, which specializes in the repair, maintenance and optimization of industrial electric motors, rotating equipment and machinery.
“I’m excited to serve the Great Lakes region and beyond as EASA’s Region 3 Director,” Hatfield said. “This is a great team that works hard to promote continuing education in electromechanical sales and service, ensuring that all members uphold industry standards and provide helpful, knowledgeable service to customers and end users around the world.”
