ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The Water Environment Federation (WEF) announced the availability of scholarships for water and wastewater operators pursuing education and/or training and for individuals pursuing certification to enter the water sector.
The scholarship will reimburse expenses up to $5,000 and is available to WEF members seeking an entry level operator’s license or experienced operators seeking professional development in the following areas:
WELLESLEY, Mass. - American Biltrite has named Janna Quaring as its regional sales manager for the Western U.S.
Quaring will report to Trevor McMillan, vice president of sales. She has more than 15 years of experience, including time spent with manufacturers Huber, Univar and Cascades.
Quaring has earned a Bachelor's of Science degree and a Bachelor's in Economics.
ZURICH, Switzerland - ABB has named Howard "H.J." Dewes as its business development manager of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) drives team.
Dewes has been with ABB for more than 30 years. He is also a board member with the Hydraulic Institute since 2019.

SWEDEN - Alfa Laval – a participant in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling – has acquired a 20 percent stake in AMI Global, specialized in end-to-end industrial Internet of Things’ (IoT) solutions for rotating equipment, to further strengthen Alfa Laval’s position in connected services, such as condition monitoring. The signing and closing date was December 31, 2020.
