LANDIVISIAU, France - Siemens will build a new combined cycle power plant as a turnkey project in Landivisiau in western France. The company will also operate and maintain the plant for 20 years. With an installed capacity of 446 megawatts, the power plant will help to reliably cover Brittany’s growing demand for electricity. The order volume is approximately 450 million pounds.

KARLSTAD, Sweden - International technology Group Andritz has acquired the Swedish company Kempulp, a specialist provider of process technologies for the chemical pulping industry.

The company designs and markets technologies used in chemical pulping, including pulp washing, oxygen delignification and bleaching technologies.

ATLANTA - Genuine Parts Company announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its wholly-owned subsidiary EIS, Inc. (EIS), the Electrical Specialties Group of Motion Industries, to Audax Private Equity (Audax). GPC intends to use the net cash proceeds from the transaction in accordance with its disciplined capital allocation strategy.
