ALABASTER, Ala. – Sealing and Equipment Products Company, Inc. (SEPCO) has announced the addition of Tom Cullen and Chad Bishop as regional sales managers.
Tom Cullen will oversee sales on the Eastern Seaboard, leveraging his extensive experience in fluid sealing, pump sales and packaging sales. Notably, he has previously collaborated with a SEPCO distributor, familiarizing him with SEPCO’s product line.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Xylem Inc. has announced that after a distinguished decade leading Xylem, President and Chief Executive Officer Patrick Decker has announced his plans to retire as CEO at the end of 2023. In accordance with the company's long-term succession planning process, Decker will be succeeded by Matthew Pine, Xylem’s chief operating officer, effective January 1, 2024. At that time, Decker will retire from Xylem’s Board and Pine will join as a director.
KENT, U.K. – As of September 1, 2023, Obart Pumps officially becomes Tsurumi Pumps UK Ltd. The name change follows the acquisition of Obart Pumps by Tsurumi (Europe) GmbH back in 2020, when Obart Pumps first became part of the global network of companies that belong to Tsurumi Manufacturing Company of Japan.

LUBBOCK, Texas – SIMFLO will soon open its third United States location in Southaven, Mississippi, part of the greater Memphis region. The company—which has been headquartered in Lubbock, Texas, since 1951—also operates a facility in Willcox, Arizona, and recently completed construction of a new state-of-the-art, 35,000-square-foot Engineered Products Facility in Lubbock, which is one of the largest and most advanced vertical turbine pump test facility in North America.

STAMFORD, Conn – United Rentals, Inc. has announced that Dale Asplund, executive vice president and chief operating officer, will be leaving the company on September 29, 2023, to take the role of president and chief executive officer at another public company outside of the equipment rental industry. Asplund joined United Rentals in 1998 and was named chief operating officer in 2019.
STOCKHOLM – Naomi Park from the United States receives the prestigious Stockholm Junior Water Prize 2023 for her research on the removal of carbon dioxide and oil products from the ocean. HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden presented the winner with her award during a ceremony at World Water Week in Stockholm.
