HOUSTON – Weatherford International plc announced it has been named Wells Supplier of the Year 2017 by Shell International Exploration & Production Inc. The award recognizes the high levels of safety and service quality that Weatherford has provided to Shell’s well operations throughout the year, as well as the service company’s collaborative, solutions-based approach.

GREAT YARMOUTH, England – SIMMONS EDECO announced that it has been awarded a contract by EDF Energy, the UK's largest producer of low-carbon electricity.

The contract requires SIMMONS EDECO to provide the French utility company with a range of services to maintain its gas storage facilities in Cheshire, England. More specifically, SIMMONS EDECO is supplying production wellhead and valve maintenance, and integrity testing services to optimize facility operations.

TPS 2017 will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas from Dec. 12 – 14, with full-day short courses offered on Monday, Dec. 11 in conjunction with the symposia. The symposia and short courses were originally scheduled for Sept. 11-14.
