ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Dec. 2, 2016) – WorldWide Electric Corporation (WWE) recently named Patrick Toms as the company’s vice president of sales for its Electric Motor and Gearing Divisions.

With more than 27 years of industry experience, Toms will oversee the day-to-day activities of WWE’s regional sales managers.

WINTERTHUR, Switzerland (Dec. 1, 2016)—On Nov. 30, Sulzer signed an agreement to acquire control of Rotec’s gas turbine maintenance business (Rotec GT), according to a statement from Sulzer. Rotec GT, headquartered in Moscow and majority-controlled by Renova, is mainly active in the Russian market.

Through this transaction, Sulzer becomes a sizable player in the Russian gas turbine service market with revenues of about $40 million, according to the company.

WASHINGTON (Nov. 30, 2016)—Siemens Corporation announced that Eric Spiegel, CEO of Siemens in the U.S., will leave the company at the end of the year. Lisa Davis has been appointed Chair and CEO of Siemens Corporation, effective Jan. 1, 2017. Judith Marks has been appointed Siemens CEO U.S., effective the same date.

WILMINGTON, Mass. (Nov. 30, 2016) – Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG), a leader in niche peristaltic pumps and associated fluid path technologies, has acquired Aflex Hose Limited and its subsidiary Aflex Hose USA LLC (Aflex) through its parent company Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc for £61.4 million.

WINTERTHUR, Switzerland (Nov. 28, 2016)—On Nov. 25, Sulzer entered into exclusive discussions with Moret Industries to acquire the pump manufacturer Ensival Moret (EM), a part of Moret Industries, according to a statement from Sulzer. The enterprise value for the proposed transaction is about $86 million (EUR 80 million).

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Nov. 29, 2016) – Trelleborg, through its business area Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, finalized its acquisition of the El Segundo, California-based subsidiary of CoorsTek Inc., a manufacturer of high-precision seals and bearings produced from high performance polymers and metals for aerospace applications.
