GROVETOWN, Ga. (May 28, 2014)—GIW Industries, Inc., has adopted a new look and logo as the company unites under the KSB corporate brand. All slurry products have been rebranded under the umbrella of GIW Minerals.

The primary GIW Minerals products are specially designed centrifugal pumps used to transport slurry. The KSB global mining team provides customers with slurry and process solutions. GIW is a global business with the majority of its customers located outside of the U.S.

TREVOSE, Pa. (May 27, 2014) – GE announced that the Swedish company WIBAX Energy AB, part of the WIBAX Group, will distribute GE’s water technologies in the Nordic region. The distribution agreement, which started on May 1, 2014, combines WIBAX’s local expertise and GE’s advanced technologies to create greater access to innovative water and process solutions in the Nordic region. The distribution agreement will cover Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.

DALLAS (May 27, 2014) – Schneider Electric announced the completion of a facility improvement project as part of an energy savings performance contract (ESPC) with the city of Kirksville, Mo. With more than $4.7 million in renovations, the project is expected to provide the city more than $340,000 in annual savings, allowing the project to pay for itself within a 15-year period.

MAUMEE, Ohio (May 27, 2014) – Greg Knitz, President of Alignment Supplies, Inc., announced that Alignment Supplies, Inc. has been named as the North American Distributor for the RollProf 3T Roll Profile Measurement System. The system is designed for production environments like steel mills and paper mills.

SUSSEX, Wis. (May 23, 2014) – Rotating Equipment Repair Inc. (RER) has received official recommendation from ASME and National Board for the issuance of NPT and NR certifications, respectively. In the two-year period leading up to certification, RER committed itself to expanding its capabilities in order to better provide for its nuclear and non-nuclear customers within the pump repair industry.

RER provides engineering services, repairs and parts for centrifugal pumps.

FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif. (May 23, 2014) – Bal Seal Engineering Inc. has named James P. Harty to the position of global market manager for its energy management market, including oil and gas, power transmission and distribution and alternative energy. In his new role, Harty will help manufacturers of energy equipment meet industry demands for “smarter,” more electronics-laden downhole tools, more efficient electrical connections and more reliable sealing. He will be based in Houston, Texas.

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (May 21, 2014) – ITT Corporation announced that it has named Executive Vice President Aris Chicles as president of its Industrial Process business. Chicles will report to CEO and President Denise Ramos.

In this role, Chicles will be responsible for executing the strategic and operating plans of ITT’s Industrial Process business, a global manufacturer of industrial pumps and valves for the oil and gas, chemical, mining and industrial markets.
