LISBON, Portugal (May 30, 2014) — Sociedade Central de Cervejas e Bebidas (SCC), a brewery in Vialonga near Lisbon, Portugal, has significantly reduced water usage by improving operating performance and reliability with help from GE’s advanced membranes and water chemical technology. The site reused wastewater to its cooling towers, which enabled it to reduce its yearly water discharge by 72 million liters and reduce its annual fresh water consumption by the same amount.

BATAVIA, N.Y. (May 30, 2014) – Graham Corporation announced that it was recently awarded four orders for projects valued at approximately $10 million. The orders are for upgrades of Graham ejector system components at three oil refineries and an ethylene capacity expansion project in North America. Shipments are expected to occur during the next nine to 15 months.
