LEONBERG, Germany (March 18, 2014) – LEWA GmbH has been awarded a five year global framework agreement with BP to supply Chemical Injection Packages for BP's Global Projects Organization. This framework agreement enables BP’s Global project teams (including their EPMS/EPC contractors) to access LEWA GmbH’s international resources to supply Chemical Injection Packages.
LONDON (March 18, 2014) – GE Oil & Gas signed a global licensing and technology collaboration agreement with Highview Power Storage, a UK supplier of large-scale liquid air energy storage (LAES) systems. The companies will explore opportunities to integrate Highview’s LAES technology in peaker power plants where GE gas turbines and gas engines are currently or will be installed to increase power plant efficiency, grid reliability and the distribution of renewable energy.
ZURICH (March 17, 2014) – ABB has won an order from Spanish ferry operator Baleària to supply energy management systems for one of its largest vessels. ABB’s advisory software will be installed onboard the ferry Martin i Soler, with an option to extend the project to two further vessels in the Baleària fleet.
