ERLANGEN, Germany (Jan. 13, 2014) – Siemens has received an order for the turnkey construction of the Bandirma II combined-cycle (gas and steam) power plant (CCPP) in Turkey. The purchaser is Enerjisa, a joint venture of Sabanci Holding and E.ON. Following the Samsun project, which is currently under construction, Bandirma II will be the second power plant in Turkey to be powered by an SGT5-8000H gas turbine, marking the sale of 28 of this model of gas turbine by Siemens worldwide.
MERSEYSIDE, UK (Jan. 10, 2014) – Hydraulics technology firm Yuken Europe has expanded its operations by making a significant investment in a U.K. valve testing facilities.

(Jan. 9, 2014) – Yokogawa Electric Corporation announced that its subsidiary Yokogawa Europe Solutions B.V. has been awarded a contract by Yamgaz, a consortium of Technip and JGC Corporation, to supply integrated control and safety systems (ICSS) for the Yamal LNG Project to build a liquefied natural gas plant and other facilities at Sabetta on Russia’s Yamal Peninsula, which is in northwest Siberia, above the Arctic Circle, in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District.
