DAMMAM, Saudi Arabia (March 29, 2016) – Continuing to build on its commitment to promote localized manufacturing and talent development, GE Oil & Gas today marked the groundbreaking of its multi-modal manufacturing and service facility at its MODON (Saudi Industrial Property Authority) site in 2nd Industrial City, Dammam.
LAGOS, Nigeria (18 June, 2015) – General Electric commenced fabrication of subsea wellheads at its Onne facility in River State. This achievement comes at the culmination of 4 years of planning, capital investment and training of Nigerian personnel to establish the first of its kind capability in Nigeria. The new investment has resulted in a 40-percent increase of covered workshop area at the Onne facility and additional permanent staff.
BRISBANE, Australia (Dec. 31, 2014) – GE Oil & Gas has contributed to the global liquefied natural gas industry with its systems used in the first ever large-scale production of liquified natural gas (LNG) from coal seam gas (CSG) at BG Group’s Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) plant on Curtis Island.
GE technology of gas turbines, centrifugal compressors and generators are integral parts of the QCLNG facility that has begun producing LNG for its first export shipment.
VANCOUVER, Canada (Dec. 3, 2014) – GE Oil & Gas announced that LNG Canada Development Inc. has selected GE’s LMS100-PB dry low emission (DLE) aeroderivative gas turbine as well as vertically and horizontally split centrifugal compressor technologies for its proposed gas liquefaction plant for the export of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Kitimat, British Columbia.
HOUSTON (Sept. 23, 2014) – GE Oil & Gas has announced that it will provide France-based energy company Total S.A. with a variety of compressors for a refinery off-gas (ROG) expansion project at its Antwerp, Belgium, refinery complex. The project is part of Total’s $1.3 billion overall investment to expand and enhance the capabilities of its Antwerp refinery.
CAIRO (22 September 2014) – GE Oil & Gas and Petrojet Egypt, a multidisciplinary contractor who specializes in providing EPC services for the oil and gas sector, celebrated the local manufacture in Egypt of the 1,000th API certified sucker rod pumping unit.
The 1,000th pumping unit celebration was formally inaugurated by senior government officials and representatives of GE Oil & Gas and Petrojet.

LONDON (March 18, 2014) – GE Oil & Gas signed a global licensing and technology collaboration agreement with Highview Power Storage, a UK supplier of large-scale liquid air energy storage (LAES) systems. The companies will explore opportunities to integrate Highview’s LAES technology in peaker power plants where GE gas turbines and gas engines are currently or will be installed to increase power plant efficiency, grid reliability and the distribution of renewable energy.
HOUSTON (Jan. 20, 2014) – GE Oil & Gas and Cameron, a Houston-based provider of flow equipment, systems and services, announced that GE has agreed to acquire Cameron’s Reciprocating Compression division for $550 million.
