(Oct. 8, 2012) - My first impression of the pump industry was its people—the quality of the character of the people. People who work in the pump industry have a tremendous sense of loyalty, I’ve discovered. I rarely meet an end user who hasn’t spent the majority of his adult life dedicated to the pump industry. These people may switch pump companies occasionally, but they seem to stay in the industry for decades and continue to make contributions to the benefits and necessity of pumps.
As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Pumps & Systems throughout 2013, we will also celebrate the people who make this industry stable, viable and significant. Tell me about the people you work with who inspire you. The people who have dedicated their lives to this industry are what make it valuable and prosperous. We will feature the most inspiring stories in a 2013 issue of Pumps & Systems and celebrate the people who keep pumps running.
Also, please let me know if you have been a Pumps & Systems reader since 1993. We plan to feature our 20-year readers in a special way.
