(Sept. 1, 2012) - Pumps & Systems has celebrated “The History of Pumps” with an ongoing series that began with a cover story for the January 2012 issue. Our goal is to recognize the key innovators and inventions that have been game changers for our industry. We have complemented the main article and timeline with additional features and pictorial slideshows on pump-zone.com. We continue to add interesting items to the online timeline, which has become the most comprehensive history of record for the pump industry.
Jan. 1, 2013, Pumps & Systems makes history of our own.
We celebrate 20 years as the pump industry’s most complete and reliable source for information about pumps, rotating equipment and the entire system surrounding the pump. We are proud to remain the No. 1 resource for pump engineers, maintenance and operations professionals, and pump repair specialists.
Through the years, we have seen many changes in the industry. Globalization has improved supply chain opportunities. Merger and acquisition activity has provided companies with the ability to offer better, more streamlined products and services to end users. A focus on energy efficiency and pump system optimization has decreased downtime, maintenance and costs while improving performance.
Pumps & Systems takes great pride in being the world’s leading resource for this critical information. Every day, we listen to our readers and incorporate your ideas into our coverage. We take your feedback seriously and appreciate your loyalty. At one tradeshow, a reader approached our booth and commented on how we have “a cult-like following.” Another reader called Pumps & Systems his “Bible for survival.” Nothing makes us happier than knowing that we have satisfied and engaged readers.
We want to assure you that our dedication and commitment will continue to grow as we enter the next 20 years!
As we approach this monumental anniversary, it is appropriate that this month we cover WEFTEC for the 19th time and take with us this record issue of Pumps & Systems. This is the biggest magazine issue produced in our company’s history. We are grateful to our readers and advertisers for your continued support. The success of this issue tells us great things about the present state of the pump industry and represents optimism for the future.
Celebrate with us in New Orleans at Booth 4262 (Hall F). More important, please continue to give us solid and candid feedback so that we can continue to bring you the most comprehensive print and online coverage in the pump industry.
